New in 2012-The Rules

Hi! I am a married 20 something in California.  I came to the decision yesterday that I have been short on experiences in my life.  This may have to do with the fact that I have no memories before I was about 10, so that there is 10 years of things that I have no memory of doing.  I also tend to make a decision about something...and it stays that way for a long time.

For example:
I tell people that I don't like seafood.  This is only partially true.  The truth is that I have no memory EVER of eating ANY kind of seafood (shrimp, sushi, salmon, etc)  I always pass on it at meals, but have no memory at all of eating any kind of sea food.  It sorta freaks me out....something that I am going to attempt in 2012 is to try....all of the above.

So here are the rules:
In 2012 I will do 366 things that I have never done before.  One for each day of the year, though some days may contain multiple new experiences.  I will be providing a blog and story for each.

New recipes and new crafts do count on this adventure.  However I cannot take a recipe that has been my favorite for years add a tablespoon of something different and call it a new recipe.  The same goes for crafts....I can make new things on a regular basis, but no more of one of the same type of thing. (meaning I can make one scarf in a way I never had before....but not 366 different ways to make a scarf...same thing goes for things like altering t-shirts into cuteness)
Also regarding crafts, each craft counts as one.  I can't spend 2 weeks working on the same project and count 14 different things from the one project.

I am really looking forward to this....and am making a promise to myself to attempt some things that I might otherwise NEVER attempt!

If something that has NEVER happened to me before happens one day that is something that counts,  Example-When the neighbors cat randomly ran into my house a few weeks ago.  That has never happened to me before, if this was my project at the time....that would count.

So here we go, I welcome your ideas on new things to try in 2012...anything reasonable will be considered....just keep in mind that I won't be doing anything extravagant like a trip to Europe.

I am looking forward to this....and thanks in advance to my amazing friends and family that are with me on this adventure!  Remember-welcoming ideas of new things to do in 2012!
